Stone forests are unique karst surface landforms. The Lunan stone forests developed from underground karren. Where this type of surface is highly developed in China, it is defined as a shilin. Diverse examples of stone forests that formed in almost
forms, composed rock forms, and forms shaped by rain water. Because of the exceptional characteristics of this karst phenomenon in China, we propose that the term shilin be used for this type of stone forest in the profesional literature. - (IKR)
