Floodplain sediments on the divide between Huang He and ChangJiang, Gansu province, NW China
Landscape and Quaternary climatic changes in eastern Tibet and surroundings
Results and discussion of a stratigraphic survey made of a 21-m-profile of floodplain sediments on the watershed between the ChangJiang (Yangtze River) and Huang He (Yellow River) at 2500 m asl.: distribution of the floodplain deposits
dans le bassin-versant du Jialing Jiang. L'érosion des sols progresse très rapidement et détruit les sols cultivés. L'afforestation et les travaux hydrauliques mis en oeuvre se limitent à retarder l'érosion. - (CG)

In this paper a net primary productivity (NPP) model based on remote sensing data and climate data is developed. And then using this model and 1km resolution monthly AVHRR NDVI data, the spatial distribution and seasonal change of NPP in China
This paper studies the change of streamflow and the impact of climatic variability conditions on regional hydrological cycle in the headwater of the Tarim River Basin. This study investigates possible causes of observed trends in streamflow

Environmental change in the Yangtze river delta since 12,000 years B.P.
The AA. present a radiocarbon-dated pollen and sediment stratigraphy from a 52-m core collected from the Yangtze River delta. The data are interpreted in the context of climatic and vegetational changes, delta development, and sea-level history

A scanning t-test algorithm for detecting multiple time-scale abrupt changes in the level of a time-series was used to analyze an 8000 year time series of annual precipitation which was reconstructed from tree rings for the Nevada Climate Division 3
in the western USA. The results suggest that the precipitation reconstruction series is quite valuable for climate-change research on multi-centurial time scales in the western USA, and that the scanning t-test and coherency detection algorithms may have a wide
use for detecting multiple time-scale abrupt changes in a long time series.
A general circulation model (GCM) of the ocean is used to study the effects of changes in the monsoon winds of present day and 9 000 yr B.P. on the upwelling in the Arabian Sea. The vertical transport from the ocean GCM is used as a measure
