system in a backward traditional economy and if so: 2) how strong is the functional interaction in the system through the successive orders of central places and how far is it amenable to be treated as a development pole system. A new methodology
to identify the central place hierarchy by combining the location co-efficient technique with an empirically derived scalar multiplier of service functions has been applied.
