Karst Terrains. Environmental changes and human impact
The Caribbean and Central American karstlands are developed primarily in Tertiary and Quaternary carbonates. The karst landscapes vary considerably, and all have been subjected to changing tectonic, eustatic and climatic conditions. Although natural
