This study systematically analyses gauge data of large rivers in Germany in order to identify changes in the runoff regime, mainly caused by climate change since middle of the 20th century. It is shown that the general runoff regime types
(such as pluvial, nival and glacial) have not changed. However, the detailed characteristics of the runoff regimes (amplitude, time of extreme values of the Pardé coefficients) were considerably affected by environmental change.

The research that has been conducted on the IPCC (United nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) as an institution has come mostly from science and technology studies scholars and a small number of critical social scientists. The IPCC’s
influence on the construction, mobilization and consumption of climate change knowledge is considerable. The review therefore ends by encouraging geographers of science to turn their research and scholarship to understanding the roles played by the IPCC
, and equivalent institutional processes of climate change knowledge assessment, in the contemporary world.
Functional and structural changes of agricultural landscapes : how changes are conceived by local farmers in two Danish rural communities
A small number of farmers are interviewed in two contrasting Danish case study areas. The AA. analyze the way in which the landscape is perceived by farmers and compare their views of the changing landscapes with the actual recorded changes
Same land cover, same land use at the large scale, different landscapes at the small scale : landscape change in olive plantations on Lesvos Island, Greece : Special section : Landscape change and regional identity
Agricultural landscape change at the small scale is studied to conceptualize the processes that change these landscapes according to the decisions that farmers make. The five-year differences in land cover, land use and landscape at the small scale
are studied in three dimensions: symbolic, productive and ecological. Understanding the dynamic diversity requires studying human interventions at the right scale, the one that corresponds to the scale of the changes at the farm.

The aim of the study is to demonstrate and to understand the scientific basis of the climate change controversy, to review the theories of uncertainty, which extremely challenge the scientific consensus and evidence in climate change science

The impacts of climate-induced changes in discharge and base level in 3 tributaries of the Saint-Lawrence River, Québec, are modelled for the period 2010–2099 using a one-dimensional morphodynamic model. Changes in channel stability and bed-material
the base level provided by the Saint-Lawrence River will alter (no change, gradual fall, step fall). The different results highlight the importance of investigating several rivers using several climate models in order to determine trends in climate change

The article describes the notable development of the climatology sciences and the paper gives examples and references for German climatology. The climate change demanded new working direction and develop new climate models and scenarios. - (IfL)
