Role of sublimation in particle supply for aeolian transport in cold environments

Description :
Sublimation is important in the generation of loose sediment for wind transport in periglacial environments. This paper reports the results of a laboratory experiment which examines these thermophysical relations and presents an empirical model which gives a first approximation of the rate of loose particle generation in field situations.
