In this paper the risk of floods associated with tropical cyclones are investigated on the Santa Fe river and compared to those associated with other flood generating processes in the basin. The statistical properties of the models employed permit the representation of seasonally varying processes and facilitate extrapolation of findings to much rarer levels of flood definition.
