Misspeaking truth to power : a geographical perspective on the underclass fallacy

Auteur :
HUGHES, M. A.

Description :
This paper argues that the isolated deprivation of the impacted ghetto provides a more meaningful framework for studying contemporary urban problems. The A. uses a measurement strategy that helps to identify US metropolitan areas with significant neigborhood restructuring and hypothesizes the relation between the emergence of this ghetto structural changes in the economy and the process of metropolitan deconcentration.
