Double Fourier series analysis of cockpit and doline karst near Browns town, Jamaica

Description :
In this paper the double Fourier series technique is used to model two doline and two cockpit karst landscapes in northern Jamaica. This is done : 1) to see how well these karst terrains can be approximated by a series of wave surfaces, 2) to assess the degree of organization within these complex landscapes in terms of the forms of the principal waves needed to model them, and 3) to assess the potential of the method to differentiate between karst styles by determining if the properties of the waves used to model doline karst differ significantly from those used to model cockpit karst.
