Night-frost modulation of near-surface soil-water ion concentration and thermal fields

Description :
The purpose of this paper is to (1) demonstrate the use of electric potential measurements in obtaining a relative surrogate estimate of the ionic concentration of the soil water and (2) illustrate, using the exemple of a night frost event, how the calculation of the apparent thermal diffusivity and relative ionic concentration yields estimates of the magnitude and direction of non-conductive processes.
