Valley modification by sapping processes in southern Indiana

Valley form varies throughout the study area. The region is too small to have any climatic variances, nor is the vegetation significantly different. These valley forms are primarily a function of lithologic discontinuities, structure, and multiple fluvial (groundwater outflow, throughflow, and surface flow) agents acting within them.
