SPOT data for estimating land cover changes by a proposed freeway in southern Taiwan

SPOT satellite data have been used to estimate the total area per land cover type which will be consumed by a planned freeway in southern Taiwan. In a comparison with other available methods the suitability of SPOT data is demonstrated. - (AJC)
