Specifics of ethnic groups and minorities of Slovenia are examined, and its neighboring lands in regard to past and present processes in demography and history. Then, ethnicity and territoriality of Eastern and Central Europe are discussed: regionalism and nationalism are strong components of the region at present. Other papers focus on territories of states and the changing composition of ethnicities within: it is a result of diverse demographic conditions. The final papers examine ethnic micro-scale changes in cities around the globe.
