Changements dans l'évolution de la vallée de la Vistule près de Cracovie au cours du Vistulien supérieur à la lumière des nouveaux sites de Pleszów et de Łęg

There are two segments of the flood plain near Pleszów site. The older was formed by the braided river during the Younger Pleniglacial and the younger by the early Atlantic paleomeander. At the Łęg B site is the filling of deep incised Allerod meanders. It allows us to consider the paleomeander in Nowa Huta as preserved in morphology Allerod channel. The process of rapid dissection of the Younger Pleniglacial alluvial plain most likely started immediately after the maximum of the last glaciation. The Vistula near Cracow changed to the meandering only on the beginning of the Allerod. - (DG)
