Description :
Environmental impact assessment, EIA, is a procedure tool involving the application of current scientific knowledge to specific planning contexts. Based on conclusions drawn from extensive field experience, this paper proposes a reorganization of EIA tasks so that a rapid and yet comprehensive overview of potential impacts may be produced and delivered at key points in the planning process.
