An analysis of residential environment in Morioka City in terms of accessibility

The purpose of this paper is to analyze residential environment, as an element of the concept « quality of life », in terms of physical accessibility. In particular, this paper measures the accessibility to living-related facilities at the community level considering facility size and demand density, and analyzes spatial variation in the residential environment between and within neighborhoods in Morioka-City in the Tohoku region in Japan.
