Description :
Unique features related to the genesis and classification of dry-steppe soils with an eluvial-illuvial differentiated profile on ancient weathering zones of the Tersek Plateau are discussed on the basis of detailed morphological descriptions and chemical, physical-chemical, and x-ray diffraction analyses. The properties of these soils are compared to those of soils formed on brown Quaternary clay loam in the same region.―(L'Ed.).
