Description :
Based on the experiments of soil moisture conducted near the interface of alfafa/winter wheat stands from May to June in 1996, this study will focus on spatial variability of soil moisture near the interface on the small scale. The scale of the interface, being 60 m, is especially chosen in order to make the results meaningful in agriculture and soil water resources management in China. As the size of the plots as such is typical in China to separate different cultivation fields as geographical unit, the results will have general implication for decision making in agricultural management and geography research.
