Particularités pédo-géographiques dans la moitié nord de la plaine de la Jijia

In the present paper, the authors have analysed the spatial distribution of the soils in the northern half of the Jija Plain. Contrary to the knowledge in the pedogeographical literature, several inadvertences have been found regarding the distribution of mollisoils and argilluvisoils, the latter ones constituting the dominant soils at least in the western and northern part of the region. A serie of profils situated in the upper part of the interfluves have been analysed, as these regions have the most proper conditions for the evolution toward the zonal type of soil. - (C. Iaţu).
