The major aim of this seminar is to discuss the potentials of satellite remote sensing as a relevant data source for those dealing with environment and agriculture in developing countries. Many of the presentations during the seminar will naturally deal with the technical aspects. However, some general considerations on research concerning environment and agriculture might be appropriate as a background for these more specific topics.
