Description :
In Denmark a regional centre has been added to the Global Resource Information Database (GRID), run by the United Nations Environment Program. The centre aims at facilitating the difficult task for primary, secondary and general education of catching up with and provide students with appropriate background knowledge, skills and overview prerequisites for the understanding of the nature and scale of the major environmental problems and serious risks reported and reviewed in the news media. The centre will provide the basic GRID core functions, such as assembling, processing and supply of geo-referenced environmental data.
