City and the Environment
Auteur :TUAN, Y.F.
Description :
Tuan proposes that escapism is one of the analytic frameworks of cultural-historical geography. By focusing on escapism, the researcher can address together the concepts of real, imagined, nature, and culture. The author shows that this analytic framework works well for understanding the escape from nature and back to nature movements of various civilizations, including the Aztec, Chinese, and European. - (SLD)
