L'A. présente, à l'aide d'illustrations photographiques, les conditions présentes et la vie de la communauté des pêcheurs finnois qui s'est installée à Finn Slough, Richmond, Colombie Britannique, en 1892. Ces pêcheurs se sont déplacés en amont en 1927. Le dernier pêcheur finnois est mort en 1983. Il ne reste plus actuellement à Finn Slough que 50 personnes, pêcheurs ou professeurs pour l'essentiel, dont certains descendent des premiers colons. Finn Slough reste intacte grâce à la forte persévérance de ses résidents. - (MP)
