Description :
The geomorphology and underground drainage of the Szilice and Alsó-hegy (Lower Plateau) have been studied within a long-term project in order to estimate the extent of ecological risks. With knowledge on geomorphological-hydrological links, the threat presented by various pipelines was investigated. The findings confirm that a possible leak would have serious ecological effects. Environmental damage from a limestone quarry right on the national border has also been studied. AA. make proposals to reduce environmental risks.
