Land degradation and its management in the arid and semi-arid areas of China

Description :
In the arid and semiarid areas of China, human actions play a significant role in desertification processes. The main problems are the reduction of biomass, decline of preferred species and soil erosion induced by overgrazing. The AA. show the land degradation management principles and the countermeasures. Desertification process can be controled to some extent as long as rationable developmental methods are adopted to a certain virtual condition.
