Czech geographical education enjoy relatively good traditions. Howewer, the current concepts, aims, contents and methods are already slighly outdated. New approach towards geography training should include more stress on basic orientation in the world, understanding of spatial relations, ability to environmentally sensitive decision - making of applied geography. The knowledge of foreign cultures should help students to coexist with members of other nations. Changes of advanced studies for practizing teachers should became part of the general transformation. - (MS)
