Description :
The glacial sequence in the Bolivian Cordillera Real have been examined and seven moraine groups distinguished. It appears that the LGM glaciation in the study area was far less extensive than was suggested by several previous auuthors. The results show a mean annual air temperatture depression of about 5°C during the LGM in the Bolivian Cordillera Real. Precipitation was probably reduced slightly at the same time.
