Description :
Hohe Tauern Park, formed in the 1980s, was based on an earlier shared initiative to set aside land in Corinthia, Salzburg and Tyrol. Two zones, an unspoiled alpine core, and an outer circle of anthropogenic landscape define the Park. Official zoning is designed to mesh the two zones and thus preserve this especially scenic part of the eastern Alps. - (DWG)
