Description :
The effect of the scale variations applied to the morphometry of the drainage networks is examined in a badland basin, located in the semi-arid Mediterranean area of south-eastern Spain. After a primary statistical analysis, based on the correlation and adjustment of the composition and texture variables of the drainage network with the scale denominators that are used, the degree of suitability of each scale factor is established. The cartographic compilation is based on air photographic analysis of different scales (1/18000, 1/12000, 1/700) corresponding to a flight in 1993.
