Description :
Research results show that a 50-cm-rise in relative sea level will cause marked decline in the function of coastal defense and drainage projects and seriously endanger the functional working of the vast majority of coastal harbors. Meanwhile, it will also influence the development of coastal cities and towns through deteriorating water quality of the source of urban water supply, increasing urban flood risk and damaging seaside tourist resources etc... Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangzhou, the 3 most important coastal cities of China, will be strongly affected.
