Selected vector quantitative methods evaluate areas or regions. Calculations of spatial morphometric parametres, namely of frequency, area and circumference, spatial orientation of a region are presented. The mentioned methods are shown on the scheme of land cover forms in the Šurany region with helps of computer programs compiled in the Institute of Geography (Slovak Academy of Sciences). - (MS)
