The impacts of long range transport of pollutants from anthropogenic and natural sources play a major role in atmospheric chemistry and may have an impact on global climate change. Although atmospheric transport in the Northern Hemisphere is recognised as an essential feature on a global scale, long range transport in the Southern Hemisphere may have important regional implications.
