On the estimation of surface albedo using satellite data

In this paper, the methods to derive the surface albedo from the satellite data are developed. In order to determine surface albedo over the China region, the corrections of altitude effect have been introduced based on ground mesure data and radiative transfer model calculations. Parameterization between surface albedo and planetary albedo in cloudless skies is specially calculated. The influences of the model parameters on the derived surface albedo have been analysed. The values of the surface albedo in 22 stations in China region as test are obtained using the satellite GMS-3 in january, april, july and october 1995.
