Description :
Combined studies of the glacial and periglacial geomorphology have been carried out in order to estimate the importance of Late-Glacial geomorphological processes for the resultant form of the glacial landscape. The investigations revealed interesting facts concerning the thickness and extent of the last glacier. Furthermore it was possible to establish how the zonation of glacial landforms was distributed in the area around the maximum terminal position of the glacier, and how this zonation was probably controlled by different dynamic zones in the ice-sheet during the first period of deglaciation.
