Description :
The main objective of the geoscientifique project SPE 90-92 was to establish a broad database for the better understanding of sediment transport from land to sea in polar regions. In this paper first results of the 1992 cruise are presented with main emphasis on surficial sediment investigations and an inventory of subbotom and surface stuctures as recorded by seimic and sonar methods. Conclusions are thus prelimenary because the evaluation of seimic records and on the sediment cores is still in progress.
