Description :
Thhe current geomorphological processes in the area are mainly of glacial, glaciofluvial and ablual nature. The glacier fronts are often situated near the costline, and this seems to favour the formation of push features in recent and subrecent moraines. Thermal erosion may lead to strong morphological transformation of vast areas. Climate, and thus the production of meltwater, ground temperature changes and differences in the development of the active layer are the most important factors that influence glaciological and geomorphological processes.
