Planned shopping centres. Impacts on relailers

Shopping centres are examined in New Zealand and their impact on stand alone retailers is outlined. Planned centres affect the geographical direction of retailing and its nature in general. As major marketing outlets for national and international chains they are especially attractive to consumer. There is a case study of the Queensgate shopping centre in Lower Hutt.
