In the second half of 1989 Poland launched a programm of profound systemic reforms, they are aimed at restructuring the economy from a centrally planned and managed one dominated by the public sector into a market economy based on private ownership. In polish agriculture the situation concerning this matter varies from the situation in industry and varies from ownership relations in agriculture in other socialist countries. In 1989 the part of state sector in Polish agriculture did exceed 18,7 % of all farmlands. The main matter of ownership transformation in this sector was low economic effectivity in market economy. - (L'A.).
