Description :
Tourism has grown more than 600% over the past 25 years in the D.R., mainly in coastal areas with good beaches. The prime concentration is on the north coast with Puerto Plata and its international airport as the center. Six other coastal zones and two in the mountains have made the tourism sector the country's third largest employer. - (DWG)
