Promoting cities as interesting places for cultural heritage is more than just selling an inviting cultural and physical infrastructure. The time-space behaviour of visitors is crucial in determining the weaknesses and strengths of a cultural tourist product and, therefore, an adequate monitoring system is an absolute prerequisite for a balanced development.
