Description :
The Campo de Dalías in the Province of Almería has the biggest concentration of greenhouses in Europe. In the past quarter century, the use of plastic in mulch, low tunnels and greenhouses has made the area prosperous. Currently 60% of the tomatoes, peppers, melons and cucumbers produced in this zone are consumed in Spain ; the rest are exported, especially to France and Germany. - (DWG)
