Description :
The present study aims at a more comprehensive understanding of channel pattern development and avulsion processes in relation to the large-scale trend of Holocene sea-level rise. It investigates the occurrence of anastomosing and meandering channel patterns in the Rhine-Meuse delta and establishes the role of sea-level rise in their development and it further analyses the relationship betweeen sea-level rise and avulsion in this area in the Netherlands. - (AGD)
