Depending on relief energy and maturity, on physical soil parameters and character of extreme rainfalls, the rate of processes and frequency of events passing thresholds for slope wash, mass movements and channel transformation are different in the Carpathians and the Himalaya. In the young relief the Himalaya the transformation both of slopes and river channels follows simultaneously, in the low Carpathians don't coincide. - (DG)
