Description :
In situ samples of soils from basaltic and metamorphic parent material taken from various morphologic positions were investigated with regard to grain-size distribution and sorting-coefficient. Fluctuations occur in both soil groups concerning their dependency on the source material. This paper will also present initial relationships between soil colour and mean annual precipitation and between soil colour and the occurrence of kaolinite.
