Description :
The latest developments in respect of environmental planning and management in Nigeria are reviewed. The main focus is the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA) law of 1988, which among other things enunciated government position on environmental protection in the country. Although the law has been framed to operate on a sectoral basis, a geographical framework is proposed involving the use of existing river-basin framework.
