Fission-track analysis and geomorphology in the surroundings of the drill site of the German continental deep drilling project (KTB)/Northeast Bavaria

Description :
In the crystalline basement of northeastern Bavaria, a part of the Variscan fold mountains, apatite fission-track analyses were for the first time applied to determine the influence of tectonics on landform development. The results show that the studied area was subject to a strongly differentiated tectonic development in the course of the entire Caenozoic.
