Description :
Data on splash detachment collected on the experimental field site of Huldeberg (15 km 55 W of Leuven in the Loam Belt of Belgium) over 11 months show that soil texture is the dominant control on the spatial variability of splash detachment. Better results are obtained when the product of rainfall kinetic energy and drop circumference is used or when rainfall detachment power is estimated as the 0.75 power of rainfall intensity.
