The five papers and two excursions guides are reprints. The main theme is the historical geography of pleistocene landscapes of the Netherlands. This theme is used in the papers on the age of plaggen soils and on settlement dynamics in North-Brabant and in the excursions to the Gooi and the Urrecht Hills. The other papers discuss and archaeological excavation of a French merovingian cemetery (Vicq in Yvelines) and a new typology of the Dutch cultural landscape. - (AGD)
