Description :
Evidence from air photos in southeastern New South Wales, indicates that a large increase in the occurrence of salinity and erosion (seepage scald) occurred in the period between 1950 and 1963. It is suggested that the erosion damage was a catastrophic rather than a progressive process which stresses the need for preventative measures against the occurrence of this type of land degradation.
