Lichenometry of Lecanora muralis as a method for an air pollution survey by school children
Auteurs :SANSEN, U.

Description :
School children (age between 6 and 16 years) participated in an air pollution survey in the Brussels region. The lichenometric method used shows that air pollution, especially SO2 pollution, influences lichen growth and development. A map of the growth rate of the epilithic species Lecanora muralis was drawn for the greater Brussels area and compared with SO2 pollution in this area. The lichenometric method contributes to the general development and education of children. - (Les AA.).
